With a good share of the Carpathians in all their diversity, the Danube Delta and Gorges, extensive woodlands and pastures, a myriad of caves and gorges, as well as with plenty of curiosities including the Văcărești Urban Delta in Bucharest, Romania is welcoming to the enthusiast hiker, cyclist, walker, climber or less dynamic nature lover.

Hiking trails that crisscross most mountains, the lengthy and ever more popular 1428 km. long Via Transilvanica, paved roads built across several mountain ranges (of which the Transalpina, Transfăgărășan, Transrarău and Transapuseni are better known), all these invite for exploration, while the extensive possibilities make it possible for everyone to have his or her own journey, in his or her own pace, a sip of mineral water on the way (the country possess some 60% of the mineral water resources in Europe).

Therefore please take the tours in this section as mere examples and ideas, we always strongly recommend everyone interested in the outdoors to have a tailored trip best fitting his / her physical condition and preferences. And to remember that all things are out there for a good reason and not as obstacles:

natura nihil frustra facit”.

Important information on all our outdoor tours:

  • For all these tours we use qualified outdoor guides.
  • The touring group – guide ratio varies according to the activity involved, yet please note that, for our guests’ safety, a guide can handle only a small number of persons for these tours.
  • All these tours are only run for individual tourists or already formed groups (e.g. family, friends), it is very important that the members of the group share about the same level of fitness and preferences, so that everyone is pleased with the pace, distances or difficulty level.
  • While our hiking and cycling tours are generally designed so as to accommodate persons with an average level of fitness, difficulty is a rather relative matter, so please share with us your previous experience (e.g. cycled or hiked route, gain and distance), so that we can make the necessary adjustments as needed.
  • As always in the outdoors, adverse weather conditions, group dynamics and other ground factors may result in the need to change the route accordingly. Our guides reserve the right to make the needed adjustments so as to ensure the group’s safety and comfort. Some such changes may result in certain sights / points of interest remaining out of the route.
